Kaylyn resides in Fort Worth,Texas with her husband and 3 children. She attended the University of
Texas at Arlington graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a minor in Business Administration. While there, she served as an Ambassador for the University. As the daughter of a salon owner, entrepreneurship runs in Kaylyn's blood. She is the owner of an award winning custom airbrush tanning salon and also owns a sunless tanning distribution company which supplies to salons, spas and other businesses across the US and in Canada. She enjoys sharing her knowledge of the sunless tanning industry with other businesses owners and advising them to assist with business growth and success.

Born in Southern California, Kaylyn’s favorite places are Disneyland and the beach! She loves to cook and enjoys traveling. Her go-to workout for mind and body is “Yoga Scupt” which combines heat, weights, cardio and traditional yoga poses.

When Kaylyn was 6 years old, her life was drastically changed after her father died by suicide. She kept his memories and her grief to herself for decades, only opening up about her family’s story a few years ago. Since then, she has become a steadfast advocate for mental health and suicide prevention. She organized the first Out fo the Darkness walk in Fort Worth, which has raised over $75,000 for suicide prevention over the last 2 years. Kaylyn also serves on the Board of Directors for the AFSP North Texas Chapter and serves as dvocacy Chairperson. In June, she will travel to our nation’s capital for the 2nd time to share the latest research, and engage members of Congress in discussion on important suicide prevention issues.

Kaylyn is passionate about strengthening the mental health of our children and erasing the stigma that surrounds mental health. She has made it her mission to make mental health a priority in public policy and education and to educate communities on suicide prevention.
